Jay McCleskey is President of McCleskey Media Strategies who has quickly become an integral member of the team. Jay McCleskey was a Regional Political Director for the Republican National Committee from 2005 until 2009. During those four years working at the Republican National Committee, Jay McCleskey was the manager of their political operations in ten separate states and assisted in dozens of competitive campaigns all across the country.
It was in 2004 that Jay McCleskey ran the Republican National Committee’s Victory operation for then-President George W. Bush’s re-election campaign in New Mexico, which is a swing state that switched from blue to red that year. Jay McCleskey had worked in New Mexico previously. He had previously managed a gubernatorial campaign and served as the Executive Director of the Republican Party of New Mexico. He rose to this level of prominence by running successful campaigns for non-incumbents at both the local and state level. This includes working for the campaign of the challenger that defeated a thirty year incumbent of the New Mexico State House, who was at the time the longest serving Speaker of the New Mexico State House.
McCleskey can provide a wide variety of services to political campaigns. This includes direct voter contact services, media consulting, and general consulting. He can also provide help to Lincoln Strategy Group’s public affairs and corporate clients. His exceptional work won him not one, but two Pollie Awards in 2010 for his ads for the Richard Berry campaign and a Reed Award in 2011 for an ad made for the campaign of Susana Martinez.
